Any words on if and when there will be an ATI 9700 AIW coming out?

Just curious. If there was one, I'd assume it'd be a down-clocked version, like the 8500s, to keep prices down....

I've been searching all over the Internet for any information on a 9700 AIW! Haven't found anything yet other than it sounds like they are going to make one. Haven't found any preliminary specs or anything though...

like the 8500s

The AIW 8500 128 is clocked at the same 275/275 as a retail Radeon 8500, so hard to say it will be a downclocked model. Probably more likely to be different AIW models, with different feature sets. Hard to say what ATI has in mind exactly for the AIW, but word is, it will be the biggest Hardware upgrade for AIW in years...whatever that means.

Perhaps a digital TV tuner instead of the usual analogue. The 8500 AIW DV 64megger was clocked slower if I recall correctly.

Or if you're looking for a bit more, the All-in-Wonder Radeon 9xxx cards based on the R300 will be announced later this year as well. Paired with a new video encoder chip, the new All-in-Wonder card should prove to be the biggest hardware upgrade the AIW series has seen in years. from here
