Any word when the new Thermaltake HSFs will be available?

Thermaltake showed off three new coolers at Computex 2006 (early June).

The AT1, the ND2, and the ND3.

I'm guessing the AT1 is for X1000 series cards and that it would be a great seller as Artic Cooling has inexplicably stopped offering new DHES HSFs. The ND3 is also an interesting piece that uses a stock air cooling casing but stuffs a waterblock inside. I have NO idea what the ND2 would fit.

Has anybody heard when/if these new products will make it to market?

I can't see why they bother with the fan for the waterblock...unless it's just for the ram, but then it seems overkill to exhaust RAM chip heat outside the case ;)

Very interesting... I still wonder why Artic Cooling stopped offering new coolers with DHES. It's as if they either A) are convinced that the whole world is about to rapidly adopt BTX or B) gave in to some sort of pressure not to compete with the HIS and ATI DHES's.

I don't believe there is a fan in that one. If you look, it appears to be an empty shell with a waterblock secured inside.

Don't write them off yet -- remember that thermaltake makes the Big Typhoon -- which is one of the best CPU heatsinks.

As far as silencers go for the x1x00 series, the thermaltakes will slaughter them..
There are no silerncers for the x1x00 series :)

Meh... Thermaltake... Low quality execution on good ideas... Look at the pics posted, the quality (or lack thereof) is even apparent in their Computex display models. Bent fins on the ND2 and the whole heatsink element inside the AT1 looks askew...

The only thing going for them in this competition is that Arctic Cooling generally screws up their coolers in some way or another as well. They have a great basic designs that work very well, but then they have thermal pads that stick like Superglue (X1/X2), reversed fan wiring (NV5 Rev. 3), or a really bad mounting system for the rear RAM sinks (NV5 Rev. 3 on a 7800GTX).

Thermalright and Zalman in are top my book.

Until someone figures out how to make an adjustable DHES cooler, DHES coolers will have inherent compatibility problems vs. a more generic cooler such as a VF900. I bet Arctic Cooling just got tired of all the product versioning and associated support headaches. They had to make, what, 20 variations on the same basic design?

You can see distinct fan blades in that picture, and the wires running in to the fan ;)

Perhaps a low-RPM fan to keep air flowing over the voltage regulators?

That makes sense.
