Any word on Nvidia's 600-series midrange?

Is there any news about Nvidia's 600-series midrange GPUs? As with many others, I'm holding out for an Ivy Bridge build. I'm looking to buy a GPU in the $200-$250 range. If Nvidia releases their next-gen midrange cards within the next month or so then I'm willing to delay my build, but otherwise I'm probably just going to go with a 7850. Is this sensible?

7850 is a great card and clocks like mad. I wish Nvidia would hurry up with mid range kepler

It is sensible. We don't know how fast the mid range cards will be, but we do know it is basically half of the cores (768) of the GTX680.

Normally I would wait longer for news, but I've been waiting so long already for this build that I'm just about ready to pull the trigger. There's still a few more weeks until I order everything so I'll just sit tight 'till then.

The general consensus for 6-series midrange card(s) is sometime in May. Assuming that happens, we'll have to see just how much supply there is vs. demand. If the midrange launch is anything like the 680 launch, where all available cards were gone in 60 seconds and no stock for weeks after that, mere mortals won't see any cards until July at best.

I've had the parts for a new build for 7 months now (yes, I know they are now obsolete :p ) and I've been waiting for an affordable next-gen NVidia card. I'm looking to buy the "470GTX version" as opposed to the "480GTX" which is (sorta) already available if you can find one. $350 or less pricepoint. Would be happier with $300, but we'll have to see how the price vs. performance equation shakes out. I don't OC GPUs due to a negative experience a long time ago with a MILD OC that fried a card. So stock performance is key for me. Not "what I can wring out of this card."
