Any word on NF4 availability?

I don't need SLI, although it would be a very nice bonus.

Any word on when the first NF4 motherboard will ship, or an AT review date? I suppose NF3 would suffice, but I would like PCI-E and SATA-2.

Do you have anything to base that from?

In the recent AT article about SLI, MSI said they would have an SLI NF4 board by the end of December. I don't know if that means retail availability.

Availability of nForce4 Ultra motherboards A8N-E (Premium/SLI):

Asus is considering bundling two GeForce 6600GT graphics cards with the A8N-E SLI.

Gigabyte
nForce4 Ultra motherboards will be ready at the beginning of November. nForce4 SLI and VIA K8T890 will not be available before the beginning of December.
Product Name: Gigabyte 8 Sigma Series, e.g. GA-K8NXP-9 (NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra)

MSI
The K8N Diamond (featuring nForce4 SLI) is already slated to hit the shelves in late November. The product name might be changed to K8N Neo2 Extreme Edition in the US.
The K8N Neo4 Platinum will be the Ultra version, available two weeks earlier than the Diamond edition. It is supposed to be on the shelves by the middle of November.

Yeah everyone has a brand preference. I usually go with Asus or Abit, depending on feature set. I've never used DFI. For some reason I don't trust that brand yet. They're also very difficult to find in stores.
 
just cant wait till someone makes an sff with nf4 or a micro-atx
pci-e is probably the biggst benefit, because of cards such as X700pro
