Any windows versions of Gauntlet available?

Title pretty much says it all. I've grown bored with Dungeon Siege and Titan Quest and Fate, was wondering if anybody has made any Gauntlet-esqe games for windows.

Havent seen anything like a classic 2D, dungeon runner since I started with PC games and left the console world.
I had a heck of a time finding a good shooter until Jets'n'Guns came out.

It could be a modern 3D accelerated title too, if it captured the Gauntlet feel of simplicity and action.

Found some info for Seven Sorrows. Looks OK but had plenty of bad reviews. Dont know if its worth dusting off my slimline PS2. (I only bought that thing to play the latest Final Fantasy games and was sorely disappointed.)

May go into the console forum and see if anything is good for the Xbox 360.

I can't give you a link to it right now, but a side project of mine and a friend are to re-do gauntlet , keeping the same arcade like feel , using 3d effects.
We aren't making it first person or anything like that. Just better 2d.
When finished it will be playable online with friends.
There will be no central server, or matchmaking, sorry, we're doing this for fun.
So you will have to meet up with other people via ip addresses.

The reason we haven't released anything on it is because we are trying to get a release from Atari to use some of the original layouts and sounds for non-commercial use. If that doesn't work out we will have to think it out a bit more.

you can play the original using the MAME emulator, although the legality of downloading the original arcade ROM may be in question.
