Any Wii games to get excited about? (shooting/action/sports)

Mom just got me a Wii for my B-day, i was hoping to pick up a shooting game or cool sports game like baseball or boxing that integrates the controller function well.

Can't find much online

Top Spin Tennis is about to come out and uses the nunchuck for movement and wiimote for swinging. There are a ton of classic sega arcade shooters on the system. Everything else is pretty much action.

there's a boxing game coming out in the fall... reminiscent of punch out. It's called facebreaker.

ghost recon is suppose to be a good, albeit short (no WS though I hear) as well as House of the Dead and RE:Umbrella Chronicles. All on rails shooters. I can't remember which game lets you calibrate, which really helps in accuracy.

We'll probably hear more cool stuff coming out for the Wii at E3... Because right now, Nintendo already blew their wad in the first half of the year.

Medal of Honor Heroes 2 is considered the best game as far as FPS controls go.

Really? Having got a Wii a couple weeks ago, I started looking for games. Metroid 3 user reviews I read said that the control scheme was maybe even better than kybd&m. Technically not a straight up FPS I've read, so maybe a semantic point.

Metroid Prime 3 has very good controls too. MoH:H2 came out a few months after Metroid, so at the time Metroid was the best out there. MoH:H2 is a bit more shooter focused than Metroid.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 makes good use of the motion controls. Pull up Youtube and search for PES 2008 Wii Controls and you should pull up a great demo of how the Wii enables you to control your players on the field.

there is... it's called fight night round 2 and it's for the cube.

go for the Nintendo games. Metroid is always a beautiful game with great music and ambiance. Then you got the kart game and the smash game and the mario game and some other mario games and capcom games and that's all.

if you get re4, get the cube version because it doesn't have that crappy green thing but has a laser pointer, wouldn't have it any other way.
