I did...turns out you were a lot closer than I expected. One length (21ft) of 2" 0.25 stainless 304 is $450! :Q Though I don't need .25 -- even if it were half price, that's about $500 in material cost alone. I might just go with schedule 40 steel...should be a /lot/ cheaper. I just need to find someone who can bend 2" .125 steel - this place doesn't have equipment for that tight of a radius.

Why does it have to be stainless? Why not make it out of mild and deal with it getting scratched? The monetary savings would be enormous. You can prevent rust easily enough with steel black, paint, bed liner, etc.
