And I mean totally mysterious strange things that you could never explain.

In the back of this very old house in Arkansas there is this haunted tree or so the community said so.

I cry BS on crap like that and in the day time the tree looked like any other ordinary tree and the only odd thing about the tree was it had 2 very large branches that stuck way out about 3 or 4 feet above the other.

In the day time you could see between them and see the sky and mountain range far off. But at night you could not see between the branches and it was as black as a dark cave or a closet at night with the lights out.

I threw a 5 pound rock between the branches as well as a 10 pound rock and you could never hear the rocks land at all.

I have a hallway light with switches at each end of the hallway. Sometimes I have to flip a switch down to make the light come on and other times I have to flip a switch up to make the light come on. Weird.

^I know what you mean. I have that strangeness with my basement stairs lighting. I have a carpet in the hallway. It slowly creeps to the bedroom, making it's way under the door. When it finally jams I have to pull it back to the other end. Strange.

I had a hanger fly out at me in my basement once a long time ago. It could have just been bending an awkward way and released at just the right time when I was there, but at the time I was playing around with an Ouija board so it was really freaky timing.

I'll bite.

Prior to moving to a new town, my family stayed in a downstairs apartment with my uncle and his family. Upstairs was vacant, and my uncle was actually the apartment manager so he had keys. About a week into our 3 week stay, we began to hear noises coming from upstairs. Cabinets would slam shut, doors (or something else) would slam shut and we could hear loud footsteps running around up there. Each time the noises came, my uncle would go up there and find nothing. Each night, things started getting a little louder. Me, my dad, brother and uncle went up to investigate around the 3rd night and there was a dank, musky type smell and the apartment was really cold (it was summer in Vacaville so it got really hot and the AC wasn't on). While we were up there, we heard the bathroom door slam and as we got closer, we could hear some type of groaning. We got the F*ck out of there. That night the groaning got louder and it started to sound like it was calling my dad or my brother's name (Sr. & Jr.).

Anyways it went on like this for a few nights and I distinctly remember my aunt being really freaked out and crying and telling us we had to move out asap. We moved out after about 1.5 wks of staying there. A few days after we moved out, they hired some clairvoyant to feel the place out and found that someone died on the grounds. There was supposedly a little girl that died in that area too. Haven't really experienced anything ever since though.

Your hallway is obviously a gateway to hell.

A broken pay phone suddenly worked to bring emergency services to me when I was in a fire as a young teen. tl;dr was staying at a camp and trapped in a structure fire, phone was dead all week (the only way we could call home, no dial tone or anything) and it was the only phone for a good few miles that for some strange reason just started working when I needed it the most.

Come to think of it, I've had like 4-5 super intense near death experiences and somehow come out ok.

One time I was hiding in someones basement closet and they were messing around with a Ouija board. So I threw a hanger at them then crawled to the back of the closet to hide and all of a sudden I was in a forest and found a lamp post.

Weird...

You threw a 10 pound rock up through two tree branches? Damn, I don't even lift, must be time to start.

you know that's only about a gallon of milk, right?

Yeah, but I probably couldn't throw a gallon of milk up through two tree branches unless they were pretty low to the ground. Maybe if I threw it discus style. Or maybe underhand.
