Rather than going to a store or having it shipped, are there any online sites that sell regular PC Games (the same that you see in a store), yet offer it as a download instead?

Sounds like there might be some legal ramifications, but perhaps could be a business idea?

AFAIK, no one's done this

I don't think so, as passwords etc.'ll be pirated.

Meh although it's a good idea, I don't like doing it that way. I like having a hard copy of my games in case I lose my hard drive or something. But Steam does it pretty well, you have an "account" where it keeps all the games you've purchased, and you can download them as many times as you like. I still like having a hard copy nonetheless.

Steam?

In my opinion its a great system. Most of the bad stuff you hear about it isn't even true.

Yep, steam was great when i had HL2...

Any companies do this for other games? Were over here in the UK for a little while and my friend has been wanting to play a PC Baseball game... As expected, nothing in the stores :)

Uhm, no. That's called 'scam'. And the replacement of the former suprnova.org (AKA Exeem) is pirating. Bad you! BAD YOU, GAWDDAMMIT!

There was a place that looked good called DMMgame.
