Just curious if such a website exists... with nice charts :D. I've been out of the loop for a while and need 512MB PC3200 memory but don't want to buy if the prices now are expensive. It is a luxury (currently on 512MB now but feel the chug even when browsing). I wasn't so sure if this question belonged in the Gen. Hardware so Mods, move if need be.

I think he means more of a long term graph. I'd also like to see one of those!

When I built my comp last summer I bought 2 sticks of Kingston HyperX PC2700 for $70 each, now they are $115

I bet that was before $50 in MIR ;)

It was a buy.com deal of the day, with $30 MIR, free shipping and eBates.com

Damn now it's worth $5 ($1 + $4 shipping) :(

I remember paying $91 for 12MB RAM for my ancient Apple Performa 630CD (which came with 4MB RAM stock). This was 1994-1996-ish.

Thanks for the link :).

I remember paying $150 for PC133 256 stick from crucial and that was a good price too. I forgot how much I paid for a 32MB stick of fast page memory but I'm sure it was a good chunk back then.

I guess $80 for a 512MB PC3200 Corsair stick isn't so bad.

[EDIT] Hrmm, the graph only goes down to $100, I'm pretty sure ram was cheaper than 80 a year ago.
