Read: "We need someone to actually land the gig, THEN we'll pay you."
Classic tech guy turned consultancy owner. Wants to have his cake and eat it to. Let me guess - you won't pay your guys until the clients pay you?
Yeah no thanks. If I'm going to do the leg work, collections work, and have to float the client, I think I'll collect the whole pie
nope but good try.
no need for the "no thanks" anyways because you clearly don't have a clue anyways so you wouldn't be wanted.
I experienced everything he noted, including the stupid modal. You probably got the modal the first time you were there. Also, the "scroll down" buttons don't work, but that's beside the point.
Look, you are witnessing wholesale rejection of what you think constitutes good design. You keep rejecting the rejection, so it seems you weren't really looking for constructive ideas, you were looking for someone to tell you that you had a good eye for design.
So, you have a good eye for design.
You are welcome.
i'm simply asking people to explain WHY it is bad design rather than just saying it's terrible, and still, no one has done it. okay yes i get that in IE it does not work, so yes that is terrible that it doesn't work, but i'm talking aside from that i would like to know why people think it's such a terrible design. and then i've asked people to link sites that THEY think are good design, and not 1 person has done that.
there is no such thing as right and wrong when it comes to design imo, but there are things that can functionally be wrong. i personally think those sites look very slick, nice, and straight to the point. well aside from that OK studios one, since i can't understand what is written since i don't speak that language, but it looks nice visually.
i have no problems getting the content or maneuvering around those sites. maybe if i were using IE it would be different, but i'm not. and i also realize that type of design is NOT going to be good for every type of website. but when the website in general does not have that much info that has to be displayed, i think it looks great and throws the info that they want to show you, in your face.
