hi, ive been working day and night learning some web technologies(ruby rails mysql javascript server stuff etc) since the summer and feel now that i am rdy to start launching some sites...however the one area i am really poor at is web design. the other day i spent the whole day trying to come up with a opening page for a craigslist type site i created and really didnt get anywhere. i have no color cordination, spelling skills, or layout sense.

so i have a few sites already created on my local machine. if your a webdesigner looking to learn more about backend stuff id be glad to help. also, you get to keep the backend code, redesign it, and launch your own if you want. im sure throwing up some google adsense on the page can earn ya a few bucks a day. if anyone else has advice about finding a web designer or can offer some tips or encouragement that a programmer can also pump out a decent web design, drop a msg...

Are you going to start a business? Just hire an artist, seriously.

I'm a programmer, an engineer, etc, and I know I could never be good at art - I just accept it and hire artists.
