Lets say you download a Acrobat document with fields. Is there any way to type in the fields or do you have to fill them out by hand?

IIRC you can edit them if you have Adobe Acrobat, not the reader, the full program :)

Some programs now days can save as PDF, but I don't know if you can actually edit a pdf file with the program.

I was thinkiing of the free openoffice program at openoffice.org.

Photoshop it.

Get creative. Alt-printscreen --> Open PS --> Ctrl-N --> <Enter> --> Ctrl-V --> Maximize Screen --> Type tool --> :D

I just installed open office and it will not open a pdf file. Print it out scan it in and edit it.

If it already has fields--it means you can type it them (unless the creator restricted this).
Otherwise it doesn't have fields...just lines/boxes.
