Any way to test to figure which component went bad?

Lastnight I had my power go on and off a bunch of times, then off before I went to bed. The next morning when I woke up my computer would not turn on. The power is on, the fans spin, but I get nothing. It's ether the cpu or motherboard, my guess is motherboard. Any way to test to know for sure?

Otherwise going to pick up a cheap motherboard and give it a try, This is used with a E6300 processor. It's sad since I am planning on putting a new computer together next month. And it means I have no working computer at my house at the moment.

Motherboard or power supply, if you have a multimeter test the power supply first. Also, try removing as many components as possible and seeing if it will boot, memory, expansion cards etc. Sometimes one of these giving up the ghost can cause boot problems.

Well tested out the power supply with a multimeter, and it seems fine. All voltages are where they should be.

Moved the ram, reinstalled the graphics card, tried starting up with only cpu, gpu, and ram on the board. Still no post.

When I try to start the computer, the GPU fan goes to full speed and doesn't come back down. Normally when I turn on the computer it goes full speed but then shortly after goes to low speed. This happened before when the computer wouldn't post. So I am guessing a new motherboard is in order.
