Any way to stop Windows 7 from moving windows when you turn off monitors?

I have three monitors and if I turn the monitors off, Windows tries to be helpful and move my windows to the main monitor when I turn it on. I really don't want it to do this. Does anyone know of a way to stop this? I'm running a GTX 680, so I don't know if it's nVidia or Windows.

Are you referring to individual software? It is most likely the application testing to see what is the nearest active and on monitor and moving itself there.

Yes, this isn't Windows doing that.

I moved a computer that was running a 1920x1080 monitor, and had Task Manager last opened on the lower-right corner, and moved it to a 1280x1024 monitor, and now when I open Task Manager, it opens off-screen. I can't see it.
