Is there any way to stop users from being able to change the screen saver in win 2k? My roommate's jokes are getting a little old... Thanks!

Well, the best and easiest way would be to just tell him that you don't want him messin' with your box...

You should have him set up as a "user" and not a "power user" in the "users and passwords" control panel. Then he can't change your screensaver. Tell him to log-out when he's done using your machine so you don't have to log him out or see his screensaver....

a more drastic solution would be to delete all configurable (marquee) screen savers on your system.

Click the start menu, run, and type gpedit.msc press return. and group policy box will appear. There is an option to disable the screen save changing in windows.

It's in User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Control Panel/Display.

The option you want is Screen save executable name, specify the screen saver you want there and no one will be able to change it..

Click on the 'Explain' Tab and it will tell you how to use this feature..

Hope it helps.
