Any way to stop certain sites from popups? Popup Blocker fails to work.

This is maddening. You can list websites you want to allow, but not disallow (I use Google Chrome). There are a few websites that I visit where Chrome fails to block popups. Every time I go it's popup city.

Is there any way I can list certain urls/sites that will kill any and all popups?

Many thanks.

Try a script add-on. Firefox has NoScript, but doesn't look like it's available for Chrome. There are a couple called NotScripts and ScriptSafe.

You can also try editing your HOST file. I don't do that, but many here do that can provide more info on how to do that.

Have you tried AdBlock 2.6.2? I've found it is very good at blocking pop ups.
What sites are you going to that en site such a "pop up city" like you described?

They are all Vietnamese websites my wife visits and I do sometimes as well. What's funny is sometimes I'll see at top how it claims a popup is successfully blocked, despite the fact that it wasn't.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. Most of these adblocking and popup blocking addons work off subscription lists that are constantly being updated. Throw in foreign languages (especially non-english, uncommon charactersets like asian languages) and the addons can easily get thrown for a loop, or they might just not be on the blocklists. Adblock plus seems to have a hell of a time with japanese sites, for example, with just the default EasyList selected.

NoScript should block the actual script triggering the popup, unless it's hard coded into the base website for whatever reason, in which case you're stuck allowing the whole thing with popups or having a mostly broken website.

Crap. I was afraid of that. :( I guess I am going to have to live with it. Usually the pop ups occur as soon as she (or I) click on something. Playing a video, typing in the search, etc.
