My hard drive seek noise is driving me crazy. My mid-tower case only has 2 5.25 bays, one is used by my cdrw, the other my DVD. Are there any solutions to silence the clicking of my drive that don't involve turning my case upright and/or removing one of my CD drives for a HD enclosure?

I can turn my case upright, but it fits so nicely underneath the file-drawer of my new desk.

oh, i'm also trying not to spend too much money. I need to keep proving to my parents that I ended up saving money by upgrading my CPU/MB for $200 instead of just buying a new dell. (i still need to find some way to get my 440mx and retail AMD HSFs quieter or else they'll keep harping on how a dell would have been better)

rip that dell button right off of dad's sport jacket and crush it into the floor with your heel.

that'll show him

McMaster-Carr.com sells vibe damper bushings, you just have to figure a way to mod them in. Or you can get a drive bracket with the optional rubber bushings from Evercase.com if there is room in your case to mount it - not very expensive, but you have to call them direct to order as there is no e-commerce on their web site.
