Any way to scam the scammer?

So, I got another scam letter which promises to pay in exchange for my consulting services provided in the US for a foreign client arriving from UK. As usual, they are promising to send over a cashier's check and, as I imagine, will ask for a refund.

So, let's say I cash in a check and just sit on it. Do nothing. Any way to milk the scammer out of some amount of money?

Not rly. When it's tangible goods, you can screw them over by shipping high-customs-value labeled bricks or other things COD.

Check is probably going to be fake. :p

Could send him his refund as a Cashier's check as well but tell him you'll need a refund from the refund...

Be careful that your bank doesn't charge you for bouncing the fake check.

It's not uncommon for some accounts at some banks to charge a penalty fee (e.g. $20), if a check isn't paid.

Oh, great. Haven't thought of that, but yes, my bank will. Well, it's not even worth it then.

Tell them that you don't trust banks, and that you'll send the refund in $1 bills cash or coins etc. Make them pick it up with their fedex account, and as said above put a value on it. Ship them a brick.

Just tell them to send you the check. Can't be free to make those. Make them work, give them nothing.

I don't like sending the brick COD, as my father has his CC stolen and one of the things they billed to it were fedex charges. Point being that they don't pay for the fedex out of their funds, you're just hurting other victims.

Just tell them that for international orders you have a 30-day hold on all non-cash transactions to ensure that the cheques clear properly.
