Any way to save edited images back to my CF card through my Canon S45?

I've been taking my CF card to Walmart when I need to get a bunch of prints. But I would like to be able to edit the images at home and put them back on the card before getting prints.
When I tried this, it wouldn't let me transfer the image back since it said it had been modified and the camera couldn't read the file.

Is there any way to tell it to ignore the fact that the picture is edited and save it anyway?

If I buy a separate card reader would I be able to do this?

Or if I use some software other than what the camera came with would I be able to do this?

Or does it have to do with the way the camera formats the card?

I'm irritated because it is a pain to do redeye removal on Walmart's computer. Plus it would be nice to be able to put exactly what I want on the card and be able to just tell it to make prints of every image when I go to walmart.

With a card reader, the CF card is just another drive. Youcould edit them and place them back on the card, the camera probably won't display them though.

It's because Canon format is JPEG2000. You can use the Canon software, I forgot what it's called. But I just open it in the program and save it again. It automatically saves it as JPEG2000. Then I can upload back to my S400. :)

Open it in the ZoomBrowser?
Or the Canon editing program (there is one isn't there?)

I'll have to double check, I can't remember what I was using to do the editing. I thought it was a program that came with the camera, but I could be wrong.

I don't believe Canon's software allows you to upload edited pictures back onto the camera - it complains that they wouldn't be displayed properly and aborts. You may try using Cam4you. I never got it working with the Canon A300 I owned then but it's worth a try.

Please update your post with whatever conclusions you come to. :)

Yeah, just use a card reader. I've edited the stuff on the card and my S200 didn't complain. I don't think it displayed the photos tho.
