Any way to run a Boinc app with an offline PC?

I have a PC at work that I'd like to run Boinc on but it's not on the network. Is there any way I can download WUs onto a USB drive and then copy them onto the PC and then offload the completed ones and upload them some other way?

Not sure if it can be done that way but figured someone here might know.

It is possible, but it'll screw up the names of the PCs. I did for quite a while and it worked really well - aside from the permanent name change problem. I mean the name you assigned to your computer at work and the one you'll up and download the work from will get mixed all the time when you look at "your computers" at the BOINC project of your choice.

A bit easier would be to chose a project like climateprediction.net. It has really really (really) long running WUs. Depending on your PC, it'll take well over a month to complete a model. That would reduce the hassle of fiddling with the USB sticks all the time.
