Any way to repair scratches on an LCD?

My LCD for my Thinkpad R32 has a few almost unnoticeable scratches. However, being the compulsive person I am, I have a hard time not noticing them. Is there anything I can do to make them less noticeable? I really only notice them on black backgrounds, but still, I notice them. 😛

I don't know of anything you can do to make them better other than having the LCD repolarized. You could try contacting man&machine to see if that is a service they perform. One of my vendors offered that to me at one time, he has since retracted it due to no profit, but the charge would have been $100 + shipping costs.

I contacted IBM (it's their fault, as the scratches appeared after I got it back from a recent warranty operation), and they said they would probably cover it. I just need to call them to make sure. I just don't want to lose the laptop for another week, after I just got it back. 😛
