Any way to remove ?access denied" when changing priority on some processes?

I am logged on and administrator but when I try to change some of the running processes priorities, from normal to above normal for instance I get "Access denied!" Does anyone know how to override or remove that access denied protection?

I am running WinXP Pro

You can do so programmatically.

However, the access denied was put there for good reason to keep people from performing Stupid User Tricks.
