Any way to recover files after WinXP crash?

Just wondering if there is any way to recover files lost during a hard lock of WinXP. Already tried the system restore...it won't restore any points....

During a crash WinXP decided my mozilla mail and bookmark files were corrupt, and it deleted them. If you guys have suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Just reinstall on another partition/drive. Then you should be able to access all the files that were on the original parition. At least the ones that microsoft decided you didn't need any more :frown:
