Any way to put parental controls on yahoo messenger?

My son has a Mac mini and an ipod touch and he has Yahoo messenger on both, he likes to message his mom and I. I want to be able to lock down who he can add as contacts etc. I went in on his Mac and set up parental controls on his account, but see no option for Yahoo messenger.

There are no options for this sort of thing, as it is protocol/application specific. The parental controls are only for the internal OS stuff.
