Any way to print from ipad2 with just print server on wifi network and plain printer?

So I've for an hp printer I picked up at costco a couple years ago. It's hooked up to an airlink wired print server and I print with windows computers via the wifi router.

Any chance I can make the iPad2 do the same?

When I try regularly, iPad doesn't see any "AirPrint" printers so I know that's definitely a fail.

TIA

P.S. I did see on apple forum that if I had a Mac it was easy by running some script, but alas, I'm of the Gates clan.

Yea, I know that there is something you can get if you have a mac... but for windows, I really can't say. I don't even own a printer any more, and haven't needed one personally for something like 4 years, so I only know about it due to overhearing internet chatter.

Off Topic, next hardware to go is the optical drive. As soon as I reliably don't need it for Windows installs (the ISO-USB is always hit or miss for me) then that's it, it's gone.

Well done Stu! Glad I came and actually read your post with the edit in it instead of mpjust the email notification.

With a half dozen pads and pods in the house, it's probably worth the $10 to let everyone print what they want, when they want.

Thanks Stu. I didn't know there was a Windows version of AirPrint Activator. You just gave me the justofication to retire the hackintosh. Gonna try it on my HP WHS box tonight.

Yeah, I got it installed on WHS an it works great. I haven't checked to see if it installs as a service though. I'll do that in a bit.

Yeah, it installs as a service. Consider my license purchased!
