A friend of mine wants to play cassettes in a car with a factory CD player ('04 Subaru Legacy) -- I know you can get CD->tape converters (wired tape gadget) and FM modulator setups for CD changers/etc...but is there any way to run a tape in the factory head unit? I haven't seen an FM modulator that accepted cassette tapes..perhaps I'm not looking hard enough..?

Anyway..any ideas?

This comes with a cord to connect the modulator to your cassette player, via the headphone jack.

Just what I was going to recommend. Would work just fine.

Try using a rolling pin to flatten out the cassette. Maybe it'll fit in the CD slot.
