Any way to make your screen (the glass) smooth again?

I've recently bought a used HTC One m8 and it is aweome except the screen is rough and you can feel a lot of friction when sliding your fingers on it.
It seems the oleophobic coating has worn off, and I can't find any way to fix that.
I searched every store and supermall for something advertised online as oleophobic spray, every single store said the same thing that they've never heard of such a thing.

I just want my glass to be frictionless and smooth like it was on my old Samsung.

Any other spraying materials I can use?

Tempered glass screen protector. I doubt there is a spray that could be evenly applied, outside of using industrial equipment.

I wonder what RainX or something similar would feel like. You might want to try some of those. Might require frequent applications, but it's cheap/easy enough, and shouldn't hurt.

I hate screen protectors. They're like condoms.

I actually enjoyed the plasticky feel of screen protectors on my phone when I had it. I think it's the bouncy feeling when I'm typing fast that I liked.

Also, I don't think you've tried tempered glass, because they don't feel like condoms at all.

Put body lotion on your screen and spread it on the screen with a tissue. After that wipe it off with another tissue. The screen will be smooth as new then

Is the screen rough across the entire surface? Are you sure there's not a screen protector on it now? ;) You'd think the screen would only be rough at the common spots of usage, not all the way into all of the corners etc. Just a thought.

Merry Christmas!

I used RainX on a Nook tablet that had no coating. It worked great, but doesn’t last too long. However very simple to apply. Just avoid contact with plastic, think it will stain it.
