I didn't think you could lock something with your own locks. I thought you had to use their approved locks.

Firearm cases can be locked with whatever, but you have to walk over to the TSA screeners so that they can open it with your keys if they want to.

Obviously you have to declare all of it.
If they decide they want to open your bag they will page you to come unlock it for them, if you miss that they'll take your bag off the plane.
Since you're dealing with a foreign country & it's just a paintball gun I'd just ship the damn thing FedEX. I doubt they'll have issue with it, assuming the C02 tank is depressurized.
