Any way to hook up HD Tivo with Comcast?

Anybody have this setup? How do you connect tivo to the cable box? I know in the past this required a rather painful setup of using IR blasters.

Yeah. By law, cable providers have to give you cable cards if you request them. Assuming you're getting the Tivo HD unit, you'll want 2 cable cards. The first one is free from comcast, and the second is $2.75.

Keep in mind that prices will vary in area to area for the CableCard and the price is to rent the card not to purchase it. I've heard of folks being charged $10-$15 per card and no first card for free.
