So I have all of my music from itunes on my laptop. Is there a way I can have all of the music on both my laptop and desktop? I've looked for a way to import the music using my itunes account but I can seem to find a way.

I use itunes on my laptop for my iPhone and I know that you can only sync with one computer with itunes, but is it the same way with all of my music?

Thanks

You can copy the whole iTunes Music folder to both computers. Or put your library on an external drive that can be accessed by both and just copy the iTunes Library file.

And you can also burn it on to a DVD - DL even, and have it on just about any computer anywhere. You can also store it on a removable HDD or flash memory device.

Itunes has a sharing function built in. I know for sure because at work, I can browse other people's music library.

How does this work? Also I put all of my music on my external HD and when I try to import it off into iTunes it doesn't work but maybe I am doing it wrong?

It doesn't seem that hard so I don't know what I could be doing wrong.

You're going to need to have your library on both computers unless the Ext HD is networked. Once you have your library on both computers, just add the folder to the library in iTunes.

IE, you have the folder labled "iTunes Music" under music then under iTunes. Copy this folder to both music folders on both PCs. Then install/load iTunes.

In iTunes, go to file, then select add folder to library. It will go through and add the iTunes music folder you copied over to your library.
