From PS3, DVD etc. The older manual says it cannot handle it for some reason...

anyone use a separate graphic eq...mine is an older ADC shaper but works great with just stereo. no surround can come through..?

There probably aren't any that will shape a Dolby Digital or DTS signal because it would have to decode, shape, and re-encode all on the fly before sending it to the receiver.

Most receivers come with multi-band EQ built-in these days, in addition to the automatic corrections programs like Audyssey. I found that Audyssey actually works pretty well, resulting in noticeably flatter and more uniform response from my motley crew of speakers.

If you just want to shape the LFE channel, you can plug your graphic EQ between the LFE pre-out and your sub's input.

As said it takes high end hardware to EQ a digital stream . Looking at about $2k for one that can :(
