Any way to get Project IGI running at good FPS?

I have a Duron 700Mhz on an ABIT KT7A with 256MB RAM and a Geforce MX2
Which is more than adequate for nearly all games out there right now.
But I notice in IGI the frame rates are very slow - unless I overclock my card to around 200/210 which seems somewhat excessive.
This is a great game so far let down by slow framerates
Is there an Open GL patch or something for it?

By the way, I play IGI under Windows 2000 which EIDOS declared doesn't support. No problem so far and the performance is great.
