i dont wanna spend the 35 bucks to get it. i applied for CC, and they said that my address does not match up to the credit bureau. called them up but getting automated crap, their websites all point to buying credit report when all i want to do is confirm if they have my address correct.

In NJ if you get denied credit or a loan or something, I believe you're entitled to a free credit report.

Just make sure you cancel it after 30 days or so. And make sure you get a case # or something. Or they are NOTORIOUS for charging you the full $110 bucks and claiming you didn't cancel.

You should get one free if you were denied a credit card, but that whole address being wrong thing might throw a wrench in that. Have you moved recently (last couple months?) it takes the credit bureaus a few months to catch up...

I believe that is nationwide. I just called 2 of the 3 credit reporting agencies to get my reports(GA residents get 2 from each agency per year), and they had a prompt to get your report if you were denied credit or if there is a discepancy on you report. The 3rd agency I didn't have to call as they allowed me to get the report online.

Simply put, you don't need to pay for anything.

I just signed up for the privacyguard...

WOW! The 3B Credit Report is pretty impressive - printing mine now (it's 36 pages).

I'll cancel in writing in a few months - and I used a one-time use CC#...but the reports alone are very detailed.
