Any way to get AutoPatcher XP ?

Hello everyone,

I've been trying to get AutoPatcher XP 4.2.32 Jan (AutoPatchXP_Jan.exe). it's supposed to save you alot of download time w/ XP patches.

I've checked several sites that claim to have download but I either get a "sever reset connection" after 20-30% complete or a dead link.

Has anyone been able to get this download ?

From the reviews that I read about this product, I'd think it would be available everywhere.

The only link that I found that sort of worked was at the univ of Vig., but it dies out at 30%. I'll keep trying to find it.

Anyone try one of the european mirrors ? I wonder if it would work fine on a US version of XP.

It's a huge download....need to look for it in IRC probably get it off a fast line.

 
i work at best buy and we install all the windows updates for the systems that get setups.. would this software get all the new ones.. we dont want to have to update our system everytime a patch comes out.. currently we just have all the *.exe on our server and run a batch file from the client and install them that way but Id like to get something a little more accurate and stays updated.

They keep it updated, it is a big download though for the first one, probably no big deal if you have a fast line.

PS: M$ has some cd they are putting out which is suppose to have all the patches but it's not as up to date.

 
ya i ordered that CD .. just to check it out and see what its like.. i ordered it like the 17th of feb or whatever it was released its on severe back order though so it might be another 10 weeks who knows. i downloaded autopatcher xp havent messed around with it yet.. ill see if this will work for what im wanting to do with it..
 
how often does this autopatcherxp have updates?

can i run it with a parameter for a saved setting file and automatically run the updates.. this way i can autorun the exe and have it just take off when the CD is put in?

On autopatchers site they say to unzip current changes to the autopatcher directory. Maybe this is the way they update between monthly updates.

I don't know because I don't have the download yet.

Has anyone ordered the cd from Autopatcher's site & received it ?

If you have an extra computer around you could run SUS, Software Update Services. Free from M$ and works pretty good. Only for 2000 and XP, Home/Pro.
