Any way to get a power supply to power something without a mobo?

you need to use the amount of devices or a single device which is capable of drawing at least 10% of the power output of the PS.

in this case, i would say 5 WATTs.
 
I am pretty sure my HD draws at least 10% of the 43W... But the HD still isnt powered. Are you sure I don't need to hook it up to a mobo or switch?
It looks just like that picture... wires hanging... DO i need to connect them somewhere (other than one to the wall and one to the HD?
