What PSU? A lot of the ones that have a thermal monitoring adjust the speed accordingly. When the PSU gets hot, the fans turn on. It's for a reason.

Is it too loud? Or too slow? What's the problem...

If it has dual fans, look into getting better airflow through your case (more intake or more exhaust) and it'll stay cooler since it'll be intaking (real word?) cooler air from the case.

Maybe your case exhaust fan is sucking away all the air before the PSU has a chance to get any through it - unlikely but possible.

Anyway, PSU's can handle heat. They're generally rated to atlest 60C, although most can withstand 85C before they get damaged.

No, PSU fan speed can not be adjusted in Windows.

What is the model type of your PSU. It's not listed in your sig.

If it's still in warrenty RMA it.

If you want to open it and change out the fan we can talk about that later.

PSU only provides power to the computer in most cases. I doubt they will have a connector to the motherboard to control fan speed.

I really would like a link that indicates speedfan will control PSU fan rpm.

A resected member of this board once said, "The PSU fan is the second most important fan in your rig." The first order of importance would be the CPU's HS fan.

I'll look at Speedfan's site later because I find it hard to believe.
