You could host it on your own web server or use imgur. They allow up to 250 images for free, but past they they can still be referenced just not see on imgur. Premium is cheap and allows an unlimited amount.

Wait... what?

There isn't a browser in iOS that just lets you long-press any web image and open in a new window (copy URL) or just copy it directly?

LOL I don't know but this thread delivers. :-D

My only iDevice is a relic running iOS 4.2 and long pressing does not allow copying the image URL. One would hope they've added it by now.

There's the share button at the bottom, but that will share the URL of the page itself that you're looking at.

If you're sourcing from imgur (can't speak to other image hosting sites), it's trivial to then alter the URL to just the image instead of the webpage.

Zaap, long pressing on an image lets you copy it to your device, but unless the place you're posting it will also host it... It's kludgy, but I suppose you could copy it, re-host it on imgur (or similar, I just browse imgur a lot), and then use that image URL.

Another option to consider, if for forum use only, Tapatalk has built in upload support for images

Latest update: "Your Tapatalk ID profile page now can access a digital locker of images you have uploaded via Tapatalk's image hosting service!"

Chrome on iOS can do it. long press on image gives you several options, two of them being:

Open image
Open Original in New Tab

Both of which will give you the URL
