yes there are lots of ways. you can always get an adapter than changes the guitar chord into a smaller mic chord and plug that into your input on your sound card. or you can get the same effect with a processor if you want to add effects before you put it onto your computer. i don't know if any of that made sense =/
 
Cheapest way = 1/4" to 1/8" adapter and plug it into the mic input. It would sound much better though if you buy a separate preamp or mixer, or any amp modeler like the POD, and plug it into the line input.

Sure, just find a way to plug it into your input. If you need crunchy distortion, buy a Boss MetalZone and play through it.
