Any way to chat anonymously on IRC?

I love IRC, but the problem is that any ol' script kiddie can find your hostname and IP with 1 command. That sucks. Is there any way to surf anonymously, or "mask" the IP/host that you're coming from? Any information or any linkage about this is greatly appreciated.

just get a shell that lets you run BNCs in the background, there rather cheap like 5 bucks.

The harder way is to find a decent wingate/proxy/sock that doesn't die every five hours, most of those don't work on efnet because most efnet servers require identid but i'm sure there some out there hidden away "P
