Any way to bypass the 1.95V limit on CUSL2?

What it says. . .

My P3's won't dance on this board the way they do on others. This is a real problem, given the cost of the board, no? Any suggestions would be helpful, but an answer to the voltage thing would be appreciated.

Thanks!:)

Nope.....the ASUS CUSL2 sets the maximum voltage at 0.30 volts above CPU default. You won't achieve much by going past 1.95 volts anyway....much higher than 1.90 is WAY too much voltage for a Coppermine. Even I am reluctant to run at anything pver 1.80 volts.

Try better cooling, or it may just be that youur processor cannot handle the speed that you are trying to overclock to.

List your system specs and configuration.....it may be that something else is holding you back.

Well, even though Intel says the max (theoretical) is 2.1 V, I personally think anything over 1.9 is way too high. Even my 1.9 V is too high, but that extra few MHz I get is just so absolutely necessary. ;)

Stick with whatever speed you get at 1.9 V or lower.

I have read Intel tech sheets that state the practical use limit on an FC-PGA current stepping is between 1.85 and 1.90 volts. I think it was closer to the 1.85 number. Now I am not up on these things though as I do not know if its the voltage or the heat that can kill you. If you have good cooling then 1.90 should be ok. If its strictly a voltage issue I would never risk it if I were you- going above 1.90 that is.
