Any way to burn VCDs without making the video stretch to full screen?

Every time I try to burn my .mpg's to a VCD when I try to play it in my DVD player it stretches to the entire screen. Is there any way to make it so it keeps its normal resolution instead of stretching to the whole screen?

Keep in mind that 640x480 is fullscreen on your TV (I think it's actually like 580x480 or something, but whatever). But if you're burning, say, 320x200 video, it's up to your DVD player as to how it is displayed, not the burning software.

I am going to say an unqualified yes you can. I had a similar issue burning a dvd with a few home shot mpgs. One of them was in 3x4 instead of 4x3 format. Some dvd creation software took the mpg and stretched it to full screen distorting the original dimensions. Using Nero (NeroVision Express 2) it preserved the original ratios. I am not sure you can use the software for vcds but if you can, I assume it would not distort your output.

Also, the DVD burning software included with Roxio worked as well without changing the originals ratios.

If it works for DVD creation, it has to or there has to be software out there that will do the same for VCDs.
