Any Way to Block an Area Code on Mobile?

My phone has a blocklist that can be enabled in the stock dialer settings. I haven't done it, but you could try using a wildcard (555)* or something like that.

Seriously there are app's which will allow you to block an entire area code and/or middle set of digits in Android BUT area codes are a dime a dozen these days just like phone numbers. Pointless.

Turn off the ringer for anyone not in contacts ... that's what voicemail is for.

That's what I do. I keep Do Not Disturb on, and if you aren't in my contacts, I don't hear it. If it's important(so far the tally is... Let me think here... zero), they can leave a voicemail.

Anyone who knows me well enough to actually have my primary number ALSO knows to just text anyway because me picking up under any circumstances is 50/50 at best. (too much effort)

i have used successfully Truecaller (free version). IDK if it does that specific area code thing, but it's so comprehensive as a call-vetting app, that i would recommend it blindly.
