i thikn this might help, im not sure though, give the users the permissions to access the drive, und security tab of the drive or folder, and it should ask for a user and pass.....

Create a username/password combo in the 2K machine that is identical to the username/password being used on the client system (Control Panel>Users and Passwords). Otherwise, you could enable the Guest account (not generally recommended because of security implications that may or may not affect you or bother you).
