Any way I can continue booting from hard drive after beginning boot on floppy?

If I boot my computer using a Win98 boot floppy, is there
any way I can then continue to boot my computer from the
hard drive without having to restart the computer?

I have a HP VEi7 (Sis 620 chipset) computer that I
can only seem to boot from a floppy (but once booted
from a floppy, the hard drive is visible).

Is there some file I can execute on the hard drive (which
has Win98 or Win2000 installed) to continue the boot
process?

Thanks,

Kwad

You can't boot into anything related to 2000/NT (other than the repair disks) with a floppy. Booting with a Win98 disk and then going to your C:\WINDOWS directory and typing WIN (or WIN.EXE) may allow you to continue loading Windows. I have seen computers installed exactly the same where some will allow this and some will not, but it's worth a try...

The windows version has to be the same version as the floppies command.com
If you're at a DOS prompt, just type WIN. It should go into Windows.

Oh yea, you'll probably have to go to windows directory like Fard says ;)
Just have to type WIN from there. Also, it's win.com, not .exe ;)

I've had people try to go into Windows98 after booting with Win95 floopy. Just doesn't work :p If they are the same, it works fine.

And also as Fard says, you can forget it if the OS is 2000/NT.
