Any way around the 16GB ram limit of Win 7 home premium?

nope, its hard coded into home premium.

The only way around it for the least expense is if you can fine an anytime upgrade from home premium to pro or ultimate.

Maybe look into a ram drive / pagefile. Its not using the ram as you want to but the end result maybe similar.

Most people (like me) are getting by just fine with just 8GB of RAM so having 16GB is just a future-proofer. 16GB will be the norm in the far-distant future so don't worry about it.
