I've got a question.......I just got my Rolex back from the shop and i've always wondered what the numbers on the bezel are for.

Here's a picture.

GMT

Can anyone answer this?

But the places on the dial dont correspond with the military time designation, ie: 6PM = 1800

The GMT-Master is a pilot's watch. The bezel which rotates both clock and counterclockwise allow you to dial in any timezone.

That's also what the second hour hand is for. At any one time you can have two timezone's on hand without needing to rotate the bezel.

OH MY GOD THAT IS LIKE SO COOL. I just turned the bezel and I realized that the second hour hand centers up on the carat of the bezel. Neat!
