Any wakeboarders here?

I went yesterday for the second time. Getting up is no problem but jumping is definitely tricky. Lots of snowboarding experience has helped me with getting up, turning, balancing, etc but jumping the wake is tons different and my snow habits throw me all over the place.

Any other wakeboarders around here? I figure there must be SOMEBODY here who goes outside once in a while. (It's that place that's sometimes light, sometimes dark, with the occasional full moon and howling. (NO, not your parents' room!))

Wow, 2 days with no responses. I guess I overestimated the collective population here and thought that MAYBE there would be one person that goes outside. Oh well.


In related news, I went again yesterday and destroyed my arm in a tangle-up with the tow rope. Pics to come once I get motivated enough to get them off my camera.

Yeah, I have a Blind Side 5-0 board with O'Brien bindings. I ride behind a 1999 Correct Craft Ski Natique with a 5.7L inboard.

Beginning of the season is killer on your back / shoulders, but its well worth it. I took me a good summer to jump the wake with ease, and after that the 360' and 180' wake jumps come quickly. Keep it up, and you should learn quickly. Took me a little longer to find my balance / edge, because I've done snow & water skiing my whole life. Getting used to a board was tough, but I won't turn back, now.
