when something new comes out, pointless doing reviews on dozens or so Radeon 9600 cards or 5600fx cards from different manufacturers

I'm thinking more along the lines of 5600 vs. 9600, 5800 vs. 9700, 5900 vs. 9800, ti4800 vs.... etc., etc., etc.

A nice big "state of video cards" and what we recommend for each price range is what I'm talking about. Not an Asus 5900 vs. MSI 5900, etc.

ah, that would make sense, they have done a few of those in the past, would be nice if they did it perhaps like once a year

Hardware price guides. It doesn't go that indepth as far as the performance of the cards, but hey, that's what all the benchmarks they've already done in their past reviews are for It's also not that recent (from the end of may) but no new cards have come out since then so there isn't a real big reason to resvisit the subject now.
