I've only caught some of CES, but my wife's Aunt was looking for a new laptop, and we had been considering a Chromebook for her. Essentially, everything she does is in the cloud, even those silly browser-based games. We're keen on getting her a system that isn't so easy for her to just rapidly click through and install junk on her system.
The caveats though is that the screen *needs* to be 14-15" (any lower is just too small for not only her eyes but also her hands), and ideally she wants something premium-ish. As in, everything currently out in the 14-15 category is either in the $250-$350 bracket, with junk screens and poor keyboards, or on the flip side you have the Pixel with ancient specs (and I don't believe Google even lists it on their site anymore).
The only two I see are the Acer Chromebook 14 and 15, which have mushy keyboards, better than average screens, but old CPUs.
Was there any sign of some Big Chromebooks coming down the pipeline?
